The New Year has fallen upon us! Well maybe “fallen” is not the right adjective. The end of the year is always crazy for small businesses., Whether your fiscal year end falls in time with the end of the calendar year or not, it is a milestone either way and many businesses set certain goals based on the calendar year. At PayGo USA, we strive to help our small business clients to streamline their day-to-day operations with a comprehensive suite of payroll, insurance, and tax services. This year could be the year to take your company into 2017 with a fresh start when it comes to administrative services. Get rid of the paperwork and let PayGo USA spearhead your payroll services. The aspect that we truly take pride in is serving a wide variety of businesses from one employee to several dozen. We don’t care about the size of your business, and we hold to the philosophy that a small painting company with four employees is just as important as a multinational corporation with thousands of employees. Here in Florida, the economic impact of each and every small business is critical to the survival of our communities, and we believe that all of them deserve the same treatment.
In keeping with our mission of bringing our exceptional suite of services to the small business community of Florida, we decided to suggest some “resolutions” to further your success. First of all, the word resolution has been greatly twisted by our society. There is an old joke that goes- I want to open a gym called resolutions, in two months I will take out the exercise equipment and install a bar. While that may be a bit of a stretch, making resolutions can sometimes be just that way, well intentioned at the beginning, and losing momentum after a short time. A simple, clear goal will help you succeed in your business resolutions for 2016, oops 2017, (get ready to make that mistake for the next few months).
Social Media
The first resolution that you should consider for your small business is a common, everyday time waster, social media. The free (or fairly cheap) marketing opportunities available with social media, can be invaluable to your small business. Social media is not simply Facebook and Twitter, but all sorts of underutilized conduits to reach your customers. Obviously, however, a Facebook page is an excellent place to begin and they offer marketing opportunities that just may drive sales. While you are at it, consider starting a blog for your business and keeping it updated regularly. Some consumers like to connect with the business owners that they patronize, and building good relationships is a fundamental part of conducting business. This is where a blog can truly shine. It can provide information about new products, advertise new services or specials, and provide an insight into what your company is really about. The beauty of blog posts is that they can be linked to social media and email, essentially stretching your exposure much further.
Give Back
At this time of year, many business owners create a plan to give back to the community. To most businesses it is important to give back in the form of volunteering, participating in civic events and even sponsoring projects that are designed to uplift the community. A good example is a food drive for this time of year, as many local food pantries are running low after the holidays. Giving back can also be very good for business, it lets the community see that your company truly cares for its clients. They say that, “all press is good press” but for a small business owner, good press is invaluable and making the effort to help your community is some of the best press you can get.
The new year can send you an amazing amount of success if you set clear goals for your company. At PayGo USA we want to help you streamline your payroll, insurance and tax paperwork so you have more time to put back into your business. We want to partner with you on the road to success.
